I've turned off 'Auto-number style' in score manager, but the violin parts in my score are still numbered I & II (the second violin in part has actually been renamed 'ripieno', but the number II still appears after it). How can I get rid of these numbers?

Attach a (small) Finale sample document here, and I am sure someone can find the culprit.

You can clear the music from the document; we only need to see the empty measures.

Mangaged to solve the problem, Peter.

It turned out that the culprit was the brackets (brace) which had been moved and no longer grouped both violin parts together.
