ASUS Laptop

I'm having trouble printing a choral piece and lyrics. Even tho it looks great on the screen, when it's printed, dynamic markings etc have all merged into the lyrics, themselves not staying where I put them. Even saving the entries doesn't prevent the movement.
Sending a clip won't show the problem since it's the printed page that holds the result.
Any thoughts will be appreciated..

We need more info:

* Are you printing the score, or are you printing a linked part?

It might help if you attach an actual Finale document here.
We do no need a HUGE document, just a small sample document that shows the problem.
You can duplicate your Finale document, and delete a lot from the duplicate document, so that we get a small document showing the issue.

While trying to get a sample posted, Finale encountered an error and shut down,
I lost the entire score.
Any way to retrieve it?

OK, I got things fixed.
The problem is markings etc. moving from where they are on-screen.If this works, I have 2 screen shots of the sane region of my score; one view is Page View the other is Scroll. Scroll is where I work.
As you can see, the markings etc in Page View have "Merged. Unfortunately, this is the view that prints. Any help will be appreciated.

1) You have found out that you can do the initial music entry in Scroll View (as many Finale users do), but you should not do the final layout in Scroll View - that is just a waste of time.
Instead, do the final layout in Page View.

2) In your attached document there is an important difference between Scroll View and Page View:
While in Scroll View the System Scaling has the Staff Height set to 24 Points (= 100 % size), in Page View the System Scaling has the Staff Height set to 17 Points (= 70 % size).
This difference is one of the reasons why the layout looks different in Scroll View and Page View.
You can see the difference via the Resize Tool (icon: %):
Context-click the system.
In the context menu, choose “Resize System…”.

3) Also, the vertical Staff Spacing is different between Scroll View and Page View.
You can fix this with the Staff Tool:
Page View.
Staff menu > Respace Staves…
Choose the option “Set to Scroll View Spacing”.

4) You have inserted some “bean sprouts” text blocks.
I suppose that these text blocks show alternate lyrics for the staff above, right?
However, each text block is attached to the staff below.
Doing so is a recipe for trouble.
You can fix the attachment via the dialog box Frame Attributes:
Text Tool.
Drag-select the text block’s handle, and go to
Text menu > Frame Attributes…
(or hit Shift-Return)

Additionally, make sure you have Automatic Update Layout on. (Finale Menu > Preferences > Edit > Auto Update)
