Is there any way to make Finale automatically place staccato wedges and other appropriate articulations so that they are bisected by the staff lines as recommended by Gould (page 120 example 3) when placed in the staff:

It seems like you could achieve that with two sets of those articulations, one for notes on lines and one for notes on spaces. Not the most convenient thing in the world, though.

Thanks for suggestion, motet. That would work. And I would need a third set for when the articulation is off the staff since the spacing is a little closer for that one. I might make this a feature request at MM if there is not way to do this automatically, though,

"Off-staff" looks very close to "space" to me.

Another alternative would be a JW Lua script to adjust them after placing.

Maybe a Lua script writer would want to take this on?
