Hi all,

When I use the "change instrument" command under Utilities, my group names disappear and I have to add them all over again. Is there any way around this? It would make my life so much easier. Thanks in advance! I have Finale 2014.

In Preferences, there are options that affect how groups are handled. You might need to uncheck some or all of these to stop the behavior your are experiencing. I can't say for sure, as we have little information from just a description of the behavior.

In
Preferences - Edit,
try de-selecting the option “Automatic Instrument Family Group Brackets”.

Thanks guys, Peter's suggestion worked! I can't believe I've been doing all this extra work for so long that could've been saved by unchecking one little box!
