I am trying to use Finale's swing playback for the first time and having trouble getting it to work. Under Expression, Tempo Mark, I select Swing! (2 eighths = triplet: quarter and eighth. But when I play back, nothing changes. I researched this issue and discovered that human playback needs to be off, but still the swing playback doesn't work. Not sure what step I'm missing. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Since we don't have a file to examine, it's hard to say. One thing I can suggest: go into the Score List definition for the Tempo Marks Category and modify the list to include all the staves for Parts and see what happens.

Thanks Zuill. I had hopes that would work, but unfortunately, it still doesn't play back with swing tempo. Any other thoughts?

Can we examine the file?

The problem here is that you didn't have the swing expression set for swing playback. Once that is corrected, it works.

Thanks again Zuill. I set play back to "jazz" and it worked.
