I had previously posted about creating a custom chord suffix. I figured that out.

My question now is: is there a way to save a previously-created custom chord suffix? I made a bunch of tweaks, and I'd like to apply that suffix retroactively to a bunch of Finale files (I don't mind re-typing the chords, I just don't want to have to re-create the suffix).

Thanks!

Make a copy of the file containing the suffix. Go to the suffix selection box and delete all of the suffixes except that one. Go to File > Save Library and save a Chord Library. You can then import this library into any file you wish - the suffix will appear at the end of the list.

Once I've imported those custom suffixes (which worked, thanks), is there a way to link them to a shortcut key? For example, typing D1 could give me a D chord symbol with the custom suffix automatically.

As it is now, I have to right click the chord and add the suffix from the library. Still faster than creating it, but it would be nice to bake it into the chord typing natively.

Thanks!

Two shortcuts which could help :
Root:0 (zero) opens the chord suffixes window. Ex. Eb:0. Then you pick the suffix you want.
But there is even a faster method. Each suffix has a number in its box. Type Eb:14 if you want suffix 14 to be applied to Eb.
