Cautionary clef not hidden in multimeasure rest.

Here's an unfortunate thing: measure 16 has the attribute "Hide cautionary clefs, key, and time signatures." As you can see, the cautionary key and time signatures are suppressed, but not the cautionary clef. If the 16-bar multimeasure rest is broken, then the cautionary clef disappears.

Is there some other way of suppressing the clef?

This is probably what you want. For the clef change measure, check the box to put the clef change after the barline.

You know what you want here and I can't argue with that. But in your example I see a Timpani part that switches to pitched percussion. If that's close to the actual scenario, I'd put the cautionary key and clef in the measure preceding the Glockenspiel, or whatever. Just an idea.

Did you try checking the attribute "Hide cautionary clefs, key, and time signatures" (also) in the first measure of the multimeasure rest?

Have you tried in Document Options -> Clefs -> uncheck "Display Cautionary Clef at the End of Staff System" ?

In general I want them. I only want to suppress them between movements (hence the final barline), so turning them off altogether won't do.

That works, but it seems wrong to have to resort to that.

Zuill's solution seems good--thanks!

N, the example I posted is just a default document, but you must be psychic in that it is a timpani part. But rather than a switch to pitches percussion (hey, a timpani is pitched!) the treble clef is for a cue at the beginning of the next movement. I know the proper thing would be to start with a bass clef and then immediately a treble clef for the cue, but the shenanigans necessary to do that don't seem worth it to me.

I think I'll report this as a bug, since the cautionary clef and key/time signatures behave differently.

All those rests - it's either a timpani part or a trombone/tuba part.
