Isn't there a quick or keystroke method to change to a measure later in the score while using simple entry?
Thanks for any help.

If you are in scroll view, just swipe the mouse. At least, that's how it works on my Mac.

I'm almost always entering in page view (simple entry). Isn't there some kind of keystroke like: ctrl + ? or M (for measure) and the measure number you want? Seems like there should be a way to "Jump to any measure in a score with a simple keystroke, I'd hope, anyway.
Thanks for your suggestion though.

Scroll View offers advantages. I don't know what swipe the mouse means, but you can type the measure number in the box at the bottom of the screen. The JW Navigate plug-in May do what you want in Page View.

But that requires knowing what measure you want.

Motet, with my mouse (the Apple Magic Mouse) I can scroll up and down by sliding a finger forward or backward, like using a scroll wheel. In Finale scroll view, a side-to-side motion scrolls horizontally. But maybe that's just a Mac thing.

I'll have to try that. But I think George does want to jump to a specific measure number. (I checked and JW Naviate can indeed do that in Page View).

Jumping to a particular measure in page view is what I want (like you mentioned). The JW idea sounds good. How would I go about doing that? Is that Jeri Williams?

I, too, am looking for something similar. I'm on windows 8 and finale 25.

I'm looking for a shortcut way to get the focus on the little box at the bottom of the document, when in scroll view to enter a specific measure number. (For playback and simple entry.) I'm doing choral arranging, so basically two staves. I'm not very good at arranging yet. Forgot all the part-writing rules learned 30 plus years ago, so looking up that information online and lots of tinkering with the parts and listening over and over one measure at a time.

I have it set to play from leftmost measure and I'm using alt+ spacebar to start playback and spacebar to stop playback (I set up these shortcuts in tg tools menu shortcuts). It's way faster to not have to use the mouse. If I can get the focus to the box, I can quickly type in a number if I want to move over a few measures. I'm on a laptop and use the trackpad, so mouse movements don't work for me. For me, It's much slower to move the cursor to the box and click, than a keyboard shortcut.

I'm pretty sure I had figured out or read somewhere a shortcut that worked on an older version of finale years ago. I'm just now getting back to finale and have spent way too much time trying to find a solution on the forums! I can't use tg tools, because nothing in the menus to jump to that box either.

I did look at jw navigate. I set up a shortcut for it with tg tools, because it's in the menu. The navigate box pops up, but when I type in a number, it's only jumping to the measure occasionally, and most of the time not working. Must be some bugs not worked out yet in the jw plugins for v25.
