Hi All,

In Finale 2014.5, is there a way to enter a baritone guitar that's tuned down a perfect 5th so that it always comes up as a menu option (w/ transposition) in setup wizard without having to enter a guitar and make transposition changes in the Score Manager window each time I start a new chart?

Thank you

Unfortunately this is not easy to do - unless you are familiar with SQLite3 databases.

There is a "InstrumentsConfig.db" file, which is an SQLite3 document.
There are several apps that read and write to SQLite3 databases.

Another idea:
Create a new template, and set up that template with a Baritone Guitar.

Then, instead of using the Document Setup Wizard, create new documents from your new, custom template.

I don't know anything about this. Is it doable for a guitar player? :)

I am not sure I understand, what you mean by your word “it”.
Could you be more specific?

I'm guessing he was joking about the abilities of guitar players to do anything too complicated. Since he is a guitar player, it appears he was joking about a stereotype about guitar players.

If I'm wrong, I will apologize. Since I'm a drummer (at least in a part of my musical past), I'm used to the jokes poking fun at the abilities (or lack thereof) of drummers.
