Finale 2014.5 Windows 7

I think I must have asked this back on the old forum, which is why I can't find the original answer: how do I get these slurs to not be so big and unruly? There was a fairly easy two or three step fix someone gave me back on the old forum.

Thanks as always!

Right-click on the slur handle and select Engraver Slurs > Off. That should display the slur "normally". I myself flip slurs like this (many ledger lines) so the slur appears above the notes. That would eliminate the problem also.

Thanks for this, N. Good point on the higher ones. On the lower ones, though, your solution sends the end of the slur in to the stem, requiring individual manipulation, and there's hundreds of these throughout this project. Do you think that's the only solution?

Ed, the picture you posted shows that the right tip of the slur touches the stem, even with the crazy shape of the slur. That has me thinking that your slur placement might be off. The attached placement settings are from the Finale default file. Do yours match? If not, you could try the default settings to see if things are better.

I'm also attaching a picture of the Finale default Smart Slur settings. If yours are different, try these - it might cure the out of whack slur contour thing.

Using the default file, I get the attached result.
