Hi Forum,
I'm working on a score and want to be able to place my notes without finale interfering in the spacing / How to?

Finale always needs to space the notes in some manner, but you can tell the software to space the notes so that they are evenly spaced irregardless of the duration.
Go to Document Options > Music Spacing and click the "Spacing Widths…" button. Change the Scaling Factor to "1" and manually respace the music. You can tighten or loosen the spacing by adjusting the "Reference Width" setting.
