Hi guys

Just wanted to ask around if anyone has found a way of being able to import custom metatools from one score document to another??

I've built custom metatools for the expression, smartshape and articulation tools and want to import them into a document template that i have been sent by an orchestrator.
Is this possible??? Or is there a way to set custom metatools globally i.e. as a default when Finale is opened rather than being document specific.

It does seem strange that this isn't a standard feature.]

Any help much appreciated.

The full version of TG Tools allows you to transfer articulation and expression metatools between files. Look under the "Modify > Transfer" menu. That's the only option as far as I know.

Hi N Grossingink

Yeah i've tried that but it doesn't seem to work. The TGTools Modify > Transfer ships with Finale 25 on MAC as standard but i can't seem to make it work.

The TG Tools included with Finale is the "lite" version - it doesn't have the utility I mentioned, as far as I know. You can download the full version and get a free 30 day trial so you can try it out. To purchase it will run you $100, which is well worth it. Go here:

Also, if they are metatools I'm going to be using for every document I create, I like to edit my document styles. That way the metatools are there by default.
