I use Font Book, but I don't think it isolates the fonts in single documents.

On a Macintosh, the "File Info" pane lists fonts in use for a particular file. Does Windows have a similar mechanism?

File Info seems to list a lot of fonts that are not in active use in a file. For example, I've just checked one of mine and the Jazz fonts are listed, although I've never used them (in any file). Also I see both Times and Times New Roman are listed as being in the file, although I had, as usual, changed all instances of TNR to Times via Data Check > Font Utilities.N Grossingink wrote:On a Macintosh, the "File Info" pane lists fonts in use for a particular file.

Yes, you're right. These are the fonts which are "hard wired" into every Finale file. You can't remove them nohow. If you don't mind weeding through these, all subsequent added fonts will be listed in file info.David Ward wrote:N Grossingink wrote:File Info seems to list a lot of fonts that are not in active use in a file.

If you create a PDF file of your document and view it in Acrobat > File > Properties > Fonts, you can see the fonts used. It seems that these are indeed only the ones used in the document, not all the "hard-wired" ones.
