1st and 2nd endings

Still not getting it. I tried it recently and it worked, according to your advice as follows "It's a global setting in Document Options/Fonts. In the Text drop-down menu, choose Text, then Ending Repeat in drop down menu." But now when I try it, I don't see the brackets. They should appear at the 2nd and 3rd measure of my attachment, where you see Nos.1 and 2 over those measures. Thanks.

Try this :
Repeat Tool.
Select the measure before the repeat bar.
Repeat menu -> Create First and Second Ending.
Repeat Tool.
Select the measure before the repeat bar.
Repeat menu -> Create First and Second Ending.

It seems you have confused Text Repeat and Ending Repeat. What do you want? You have applied Text Repeats. I think you wanted Ending Repeats. The change you made in the Fonts was for Text Repeats. Change the font for the Ending Repeats, and then apply first and second endings.
