when repeating section, first notes of melody barely audible

I don't know if anyone else has ever had this problem, but it happens to me quite frequently. In playback (Human Playback), when a section of a piece/movement is repeated, the first notes of the main part/melody are very soft, almost inaudible, and only after a bar or so does the volume get back to normal. I've tried to avoid this by placing f or ff dynamics at the beginning of the section, but these tend to be ignored when the section repeats. There must be a reason why the volume of the music suddenly diminishes when repeating...

Dynamic changes on repeat is a HP issue, as I recall. I usually try turning off HP to test that. If dynamics are fine with HP turned off, then it is the task of finding which HP to turn off in a Custom HP style.
