Hello,
I posted this in the beginner's forum but I'm not sure if it's a beginners issue.
I'm about to export a Finale score to either Midi or Music XML. to use in my DAW
Will repeats and repeat bars be realized in the exported file?
Or, is it best to have no repeats in the score when exporting?
Ill Probably just lose the repeats and copy the measure and note info to be safe..but it's hard to find the answer in the manual
or anywhere else.
Thanks in advance

You must have the actual notation present in each measure. I'd do this, then make the MIDI or XML, then add the 1 or 2 bar repeat symbols as a last step.

MIDI and MusicXML export should recognize the repeats, as long as they are set up correctly. Use Check Repeats to make sure the playback is as needed.
Basically, XML should recognize most, if not all, common music notation items, including repeats.
