hi
I've had been using finale 2012 up until a month ago when i updated to 2018
i'm trying to find a way to import my chord libraries and document templates from the old version to the new one,
since the old version is still installed on another computer, i think this could be possible.. anyone knows how tho?
thanks

1) 2018 doesn't exist. Do you mean Finale 25 ?
2) In the new version, open an "old" file which contains the libraries. Save the libraries (File menu) in the new version.

great! i've done this, and it works but when i "load library" it loads all my chords after the ones that were already there..
so the first chord in my library isnt number 1.. it's like 209.. how can edit the library to have just the chords i want? thanks

Select the chord suffixes you don't want (at the top of the list) and click the delete button at the bottom of the window.

Indeed the Chord Suffix Selection is the right place, but to get all the options in the Chord Suffix Selection you have to get there via another route:

In the score, double-click where you need the chord symbol.
The dialog box Chord Definition appears.
Type the chord root, and then - in the pane Suffix - click the button “Select…”.

Compare the two attached screen shots.

It is in the Chord Suffix Selection window. Hold down the Shift key, select the first and the last chord suffix you want to delete, press the Delete button.

hi guys, i thought i had this figured out but i'm having issues again
so, in a finale document i created all my chord suffixes the way i like them and set them in an appropiate order as well

so i saved the library, i checked all the boxes,
and then when i open another document and load that library... nothing happens... i still get the stock suffixes, and mine are nowhere to be found...

even when i have the two documents open at the same time... it shows different libraries.. loading again does nothing... please help!

In the destination document, did you delete all the suffixes before loading the library?

Load that library into a document, and save that doc as a template.
