Finale 26, Mac

I just updated to 26, and every time I open my documents the staccatos have moved, and are basically in the notes! So I delete them all, and renter them. They enter and are placed correctly without me moving them. I save, make a pdf. PDF looks great.

But then I open the .musx file and they are all touching the notes again!

Any help to make it stop? Or a place to report it as a bug??

By the way, it's not just in files I started in an earlier version. I just did a test with a brand new document and it's happening there, too!

 I think I may have found the problem. Sometimes the file was opening in version 25, sometimes in 26. I put 25 in the trash so it won't open there anymore.

What you are describing is one of the reasons I am not updating to 26 yet. I hope they fix this problem. If not, I may avoid 26 for awhile.

That's a pretty serious problem for backwards compatibility!

I just ran into a similar problem. I still have Finale 25 but my problem is that only recently does Finale not convert my articulations correctly into PDF. They are placed usually way too high from the note head. In the original file everything is correct. I have no idea what to do. I can't send this material out looking like this. And this seems to happen now on every part of a fairly large score.

If I understand you correctly, their positioning is fine in the Finale document, but way too high in the PDF file, right?

I suppose that you create the PDF via “printing” to a PDF file, right?

* What happens if you instead use the Graphics Tool to export the pages as PDF ?
(You must view the part - not the score - while you export the part as PDF)
