Am using Windows Finale ver 25
The playback is fine with the original notation sheet.
The playback plays eighth notes instead of a half tied to an eighth note.
Tried redoing everything a few times to no avail.
Can anyone help me?
Thank you,
George Ports

We have too little information to be of help. Is this with one particular file in one particular measure?

The playback plays eighth notes instead of a half tied to an eighth note when I play it from a midi file. It plays okay from a regular finale file.

I'll try. I have trouble with doing this too.
Whoops. The midi was not allowed.
Not sure how to attach it.
Should I attach the actual Finale file to see if you can "Export it to a midi file? I might just
do the entire song over again since it is pretty short.
Any ideas?

Here's the Finale file
I almost feel like I don't have the midi in the program set up correctly.

It's not the MIDI. You have used a tremolo articulation, instead of a slide. (I think that's the term for the guitar effect.) Delete the articulation, and the score plays back correctly. Unfortunately, I don't know enough to tell you how to get what you (apparently) are aiming for, but I'm sure someone will be along!

Thank you so much Miker! That fixed it. I' ll try to put in my guitar slides another way.
This will be a big help to me since I have a couple other songs with the same problem.
Thanks again,
George

There is a slide in the smart shape tool that goes from one note to the next. I'd like to have a "set" length slide that I can type into the score in front of a "begging note, not from one note to another.
Is there a way to (copy/paste) one of the slides or better yet, make a metatool out of that so I can use it a lot?
Thanks,
George
