Hi
When I try to add more bars the new pages gets smaller, without me having changed any formats or anything. My settings are A3 score and A4 parts.
Please help!

Familiar problem, often raised.
The new pages adopt the parameters of Document -> Page Format -> Score.
In that window, review the parameters (Orientation, Paper size, Page and System Margins, %, ...) and in the Layout Tool, Redefine Pages -> All pages.

I agree Finale should follow the format you set in your current work but MM doesn't think so.

When I try to add more bars the new pages gets smaller,...
Because of this I 'generally' start with more mensures than I need. Afterwards I simply delete the ones not needed.

Thank you sooo much! I've had this problem far too many times!

If you select Update Page Layout for Score, any edits you make to pages (system and page margins, etc.) will be automatically changed in the Document/Page Format window. Also handy.

But beware!

The setting
Page Layout menu > Update Page Format for Score
is a program specific setting, not a document specific setting.

When you have finished setting the layout parameters (= the Page Format for Score has been updated), you should probably de-select “Update Page Format for Score” - before you begin working on another Finale document.
If you do not toggle “Update Page Format for Score” off, you may get some unpleasant surprises while working on the other document.
