In v25, how do I get rid of the words "manual positioning"?

For some reason, when I copied parts from one file into another file, on the score (that I need to print out), there are random places where the words:

Manual
Positioning

appear, and for the life of me I can't figure out how to get rid of them.

Sometimes they appear in red and other times in black. Bizarre!

Also, they only seem to occur in the drum part.

Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

Are they expressions? If so, delete them. Maybe post a sample file so we can figure out what they are.

No, they weren't and I couldn't figure it out for the life of me. That percussion part had come originally from a Sibelius XML file.

What I did (quite awhile before you replied here) was to clear out that staff, reboot my system and copy it in there again, and this time it came over clean.

Very mysterious, though . . . one thing I love about Finale is there's always a way to do anything that needs to be done, so I have no complaints about Finale. I'm thinking that it was a poltergeist from Sibelius . . . why would anybody ever use Sibelius? Such a weak program!

:D

Thanks for your reply!

Click on them with the cursor to highlight, then delete.
Doesn't that work?

The notation looks screwy, for example 2 tied 8ths instead of a quarter, and chords symbols aren't where they should be.

it's in 12/8. it's actually the correct notation.

Take a look at Boosey and Hawkes' new Copland edition to get your answer.

Sibelius has considerable use in the Hollywood movie industry, although not as much as Finale. These folks know what they're doing and need software that produces scores and parts quickly and efficiently. I wouldn't call Sibelius "weak".

Try applying Note Spacing, things are colliding.
And the Chord Symbols don't seem to be in the right place.
For example Ab Symbol is too far over to the right, the Ab is on "one."
Maybe Note Spacing would fix that.
