I'm adding a staff to be my "CLICK TRACK".
Anytime I try to add a percussion staff, I get this error.
What does this mean?
"Percussion Layout Cannot be Found"

It is probably looking for a certain layout that is not already in the document. Since we don't know how you set up the document, it's hard to tell why it's not there. Just create your own layout. You have that option. Have you set up one before?

I have never set one up.
I created my template from scratch so I'm sure I never created the layout it's looking for.

In the Score Manager, in the Notational Style slot, choose Percussion. If the dialogue box doesn't open automatically, click the Settings button. Set up the layout there. If you need more help, report back here and we can get more information that might allow us to make another suggestion.

I setup a COWBELL staff to act as my Click track.
When I clicked on the SETTINGS for the Notation Style, there was already a "cowbell" percussion layout.
I opened a test file and added a Cowbell staff and the window came up
The Percussion Layout(s) cannot be found for “.” You can:
- Select a new Document Style,
- Select a new instrument, or
- Manually set up or load the Percussion Layout.
So, it's looking for a Layout called "."?

The secret is that a Percussion Layout is document specific, not program specific.
This means that in a Finale document a Percussion Layout used in the document is saved in that document.
Different documents may contain different Percussion Layouts.
