For some reason, I can't delete chords.

In the Chord tool, I'll select the chords I want to delete, press delete and nothing happens.

I have to select the measure, then select "CLEAR SELECTED ITEMS" and then click CHORDS. They will then delete.

This is a weird anomaly that just started happening.

Anyone have any clues?

I found out WHY but don't know why it's acting this way.

I have SHOW FRETBOARDS selected.

In my staves that I don't want the fretboards shows, I deselect "fretboards" under "items to display" in the Staff Attributes.

So, when there's no fretboard being shown on the staff, the chord won't delete.

I deselect SHOW FRETBOARDS under the Chord menu, and all chords will delete appropriately.

Any workarounds?

I think this might be just a screen anomaly. In other words, the chords ARE deleting, but they will show onscreen anyway until you redraw.

Try it out. Delete the chords using the Chord Tool, then hit command-D on Mac (probably control D on PC) to redraw the screen. Are the chords still there?

I've noticed a few cases of strangeness involving chords and other items that don't seem to update their display properly in recent versions of Finale.
