I started getting a pop-up that says:

The document “XXXXXXX” could not be autosaved. The file doesn’t exist.

Yet I am able to manually save it and it is being stored in a folder on my Icloud drive.

Can anyone tell me why autosave is not working?

With Win, that issue is often related to .tmp file problems, solved by creating a unique folder for Finale tmp files. Mac may not have this issue or solution.

In my experience, Mac usually doesn't have problems with temp files. However, I have read that leaving a Finale file open and idle for long periods (overnight, most of the day, all week) can lead to these kinds of problems. Best to close the file when done working and shut the computer off at the end of each day.

Always a good idea. Recently I've even noticed that Finale almost invariably crashes if I leave it loaded when the computer goes to sleep. Quitting Finale regularly is a good habit to get into.
