I'm using Finale 26 in Windows.

In the Lyric I have to use strange Unicode characters a lot. I know I can insert character using [Text] [Insert Symbol] and then click on the symbol need. But how could I insert the character using a Unicode? I know how to insert lower ascii-symbols. But not Unicodes.

For example, I have a character, and it has the unicode U+E066. Now, how do I insert this code in the window using the keypad?

Thanks in advance,

Tijs

Google tells me that in Windows, you hold down Alt, type the plus sign on the numeric keypad, then the Unicode value.

(You may need to enable this in the Registry per the article.)

That's the information I find on the net too. But the unicode is for examle U+E066. There's no E on the keypad. Using the normal key E doesn't work.

The "U" just means it's Unicode. You would hold down Alt and press +E066 (using the + on the keypad). But it sounds like you need to enable this ability in Windows first.

The method with the + does do something. But the resulting characters are not the characters I'm looking for. E066 is hex for 57446 in decimal. But that doesn't work either.

Try doing it in Word and paste into Finale.

What is the character? Can you post a screenshot of it?

Take a look at PopChar Windows.
