Are you still in Scroll View?CTWRUBEL wrote:… If I go to view/show I can select only "hidden notes and rests" or "percussion midi values".

I think there is some confusion here between Edit/Preferences/View and View/Show, but I don't have Measure Number Bar in either. Is the ability to disable the measure number new with F25? Why would you want to turn it off--get get back 1/4 inch of screen space?

Ah.
Is it no longer at the bottom, or is this something different?Interface changes

Measure Number Bar
A Measure Number Bar is now displayed at the top of the screen when in Scroll and Studio View. This option is set in the Preferences - New dialog box.

I thought the O.P. was talking about this:
but perhaps I'm wrong. The thing at the top of your screen is a new feature which I don't have. But the documentation says it's in Preferences/New, not Preferences/View. Is that right?

The actual View Menu when in a document. Down the list is the Show sub-menu, then the option is at the bottom of that sub-menu. It is greyed out when in Page View, but gives the option when in Scroll View.

Just showing, as far as I know. What they show reflects the setting for actual or defined measures. In the other thread about regions not showing properly, in the second region, the numbers kept in sequence for the region, but the 2:XX format failed to show past a certain point. Extending the third region to a much higher number restored the expected display.

I guess that might be useful for wide displays.
Have they by chance fixed the problem with multiple regions and unchecking "include in measure numbering"? I wish they would concentrate on things like that rather than marginally-useful new features like this.

Not sure about the old bug. I try to avoid that in my workflow, so I don't know if it has been fixed. If you had a "broken" file, I can test it to see if it is still behaving badly.

Thanks. In the attached, set your preference to "display defined measure numbers" and then try to do something with the Measure tool to a measure in the second region (numbered starting at 101), such as "Always show time signature, unchecking "Include in measure numbering" or changing a barline.

It behaves the same erroneous way. Edit bar 103 and it applies to 104.
Oh well. What did we expect?
Maybe someone with v26 should check it. I'm on v25.

Interesting. I should try this on another file to be sure, but I couldn't reproduce the behaviour in v. 26. Perhaps they finally fixed the bug.

Yes!
Would you mind sending me another file which exhibits the problem?

The key to the bug with barlines is using the Measure Tool. If I use the Selection Tool, the barline is applied to the correct measure. If I use the Measure Tool, then it lands a bar later.

In the file posted here, I actually did use the Measure Tool and it placed the changes correctly. Could one of you send me another file with that same problem for me to test with v. 26?

What would be a better test would be for you to create a test file. In the default document, create 2 measure regions. In the first region, with the measure tool, uncheck the option to be included in measure number counting. Make sure that preferences is set (in the View window), to display Defined Measure Numbers. Now do the action [in the second region] in the Measure Tool and see if the change applies to the correct measure.
