HI All,
Using Print Music Finale 2010 on Windows 7 at 64x.
The piece I am currently working on has a 12 bar instrumental intro. When I add a "voice" stave, it starts at bar one and is blank and unnecessary for those 12 bars. I tried to figure it out through "help" but could only delete the stave throughout.
How Do I either start the voice stave at bar 13 or delete the stave for the first 12 bars?
Thanks
Greg
How to start a stave , e.g. "voice" at a specific bar

Greg,
First, take a look at this tutorial I wrote a few years back: http://www.specialmillwork.com/finale-t ... tmusic.pdf
It’s a workaround. But it might not work. For a year or two, they changed the setup, so you no longer had the capability to do that. Then, they put it back, but it worked the same way as the full Finale.
I don’t remember the versions where this happened though, but it was in that 2010-2012 zone. So, if what I described works, great! If you can’t find the menu entries I talked about, you may be out of luck.

Definitely try out Miker's suggestion.
If that doesn't work, try using some Staff Styles. Staff Style 13. Force Hide Staff (Collapse) will also achieve your result.
Finally, if Miker's suggestion works and bar 13 starts in the middle of the system, you might also consider using Staff Style 12. Force Hide Staff (Cutaway) to hide the first few measures of that system.
