I am a beginner using this Forum, but not using Finale. I have Windows Finale 25.
I apologize if I'm posting in the wrong spot . . . someone please reach out and advise.

I have entered chant notation, hidden time signatures and most barlines, and entered "tick" barlines where applicable. This music has been entered on a grand staff and I wish the tick to show only in the treble cleff, not the bass clef. Can anyone help? Thanks.

You can use staff attributes to not show barlines on the bottom staff.

Thanks. I neglected, in my post, that I want to remove only the tick and not the barline at the end of the bass staff. Is there a way to do that?

Use a staff style instead of the global staff attribute.

Thank you for the attachment. If you are willing, it would help me most if you could list the step-by-step procedure. I understand if you don't wish to take the time.

I will post again with a pdf indicating exactly what I'm trying to do.

In the Staff tool, pick Define Staff Styles on the Staff menu. Click New in the ensuing dialog and do something like what's shown below (scroll down to see everything). Then apply this staff style where you don't want barlines.

Alternatively, you could turn off barlines in the global staff attributes as discussed up above, then make a "Force barline" staff style to turn it back on in select measures.
