Hi all,

When using this tool to space systems evenly on the page, I aim to keep the top system of every page of my score at the same height, say 0.5cm down from the page margin, so that everything looks nice and consistent. My question relates to the bottom of the page... (I usually specify 0.5cm up from the bottom page margin).

On page 6 of my choir score, I only have two systems due to division of voices. So, I make sure the top system is at the right height (consistent with the other pages), but should I keep the second system down the bottom of the page (leaving a fair bit of white space in the centre of the page), or should I have the second system positioned mid-page and have white space at the bottom of the page?

Thoughts?
Cheers,
Hector.

I would go with the second option.

I'd split the difference, for example 2cm white space at top, 2cm at bottom, or thereabouts.

Thanks, I've elevated the lower of the two systems a bit and have forgone the consistency of my bottom margin for page 6. My thinking is that the choristers may sound better if they are able to keep their eyes/heads up rather than looking down to the bottom margin of the page when they get to that system.

Cheers,
Hector.
