Hello all,
I was just wondering what the working population thought of the new articulations stacking feature.
IMHO it hasn't exactly been a game changer, not that I thought it would be, rather it seems to be more of a problem for me;
more work/time fixing older files in which the originally set articulations were just fine.
But maybe I'm missing something. Should I just turn all of the extra features off?

It is a take iit or leave it to me. I could have gotten along very well without it but it's OK that it is there.

Isn't there some caveat about it breaking old files?

I would open older files with Finale 25, where presumably the articulations have been adjusted manually and there is no need for the stacking feature. Sadly, the time to do that is limited–sooner or later, 25 will not work on future Mac OSes and a user will have to use the latest Finale and deal with doing a complete and thorough proof to make sure things are displaying properly. Of course, the whole 25 vs 26 thing affects Windows users too, except they'll be able to use 25 much longer.
