Beaming with grace notes

Here's an odd bug someone on Facebook ran into. If you want to beam the last two eighth notes across the grace note, putting the cursor on the E-flat and pressing / doesn't work as it would if the grace note wasn't there. If you put the cursor on the grace note and press /, nothing happens either, but if you then go back to the E-flat, you can now create the beam with the slash. (This only works if you press / an odd number of times while on the grace note, so it's toggling something invisibly.)

This has been the behavior for as long as I can remember, and I've been using Finale since version 1. I guess the way I think about it is that since you're beaming across two notes you have to hit the / key on each of them. Never considered it a bug, though.

Well, when you hit / on the grace note, nothing visible happens, which is not good UI practice.

I agree that it's not very intuitive.

When I entered your example myself, the beam appeared automatically. Maybe the method of entry is a factor.
