Showing cues in a percussion staff

What's the best way to do this? I tried applying the staff style "Normal notation" and I tried "Change instrument" to a blank staff; in both cases the notes came out yellow, indicating that percussion was somehow still in effect. I would also like it to be key-signatureless.
