Greetings all, hope life is good. I'm wanting to increase all the noteheads' size in a piece (piano grandstaff), and also have the space between staff lines increase proportionately. I have found out how to do both of these things separately, using the Utility>Change>Noteheads, and the ScoreManger Custom Staff tools, but it would be nice to be able to combine the two actions. Is there some feature which allows you to specify matching the changes proportionately, and changing both at the same time? As always, thanks in advance! :-)

Document format lets you scale everything at once.

Hi Motet, thanks for your response. DId you mean Document>Page format? I don't see anything there that does specifically what I want to do. If you could give a little more data that would walk me through what you mean, I'd appreciate it. Here are 3 screenshots which show the steps I'm trying to combine. The 1st screenshot is how the notes and staff lines look before any changes. The 2nd shows just the staff lines increased. The 3rd shows the staff lines AND note heads increased. I'd like to combine steps 2 & 3 into one step, with no other changes to the document. Thanks

When I read your question, my first thought was to go to the % tool and click on the staves and increase the % size of the staves, (that would do everything you want at once, wouldn't it?) ... though I may be misinterpreting your question...

Cheers,
Hector.

Yes, I mean page format. There's a staff height and scale systems, which really do the same thing. It will make the notes bigger automatically along with the staff. After changing it, you need to go to the Page Layout tool and pick "Redefine pages" for it to take effect.

Thanks to both of you for your responses. I will go into action and see if I can make it all work. If not, I'll be back...

With Hector's method, if more staves are created, even without necessarily adding measures, they will be the old size. If you're done editing the file, though, then it's fine and doesn't require "Redefine pages."

Hi Motet, just wanted to let you know that I'm using your method, and that it's working great! Thanks again--you're saving me so much work I could cry.
