window with sharps, flats, naturals, etc has disappeared

I am using a MacBookPro MacOS X El Capitan 10.11.6 and Finale 25.5.0.259

The window that shows the simple entry options for sharps, flats, naturals, triplets, etc. has disappeared. The window that shows the notes (whole, half, quarter, eighths, etc is there, but I now have no way to indicate the nature of the note I have selected.

I clicked on Windows in the main tool bar and saw that these windows were checked and were open: Main Tool Palette, Simple Entry Palette, Simple Entry Rests Palette. I clicked on the other window options but none of them restored the missing window.

I restarted my computer, but the window did not appear. I shut down my computer, but when rebooting the window was still missing.

Any suggestions?

Flat, sharp, etc. are all in the Simple Entry window. You might try trashing the preferences. That might restore the full window.

I went to Finale Preferences, chose Reset all Preferences, and quit Finale. When I re-opened Finale, the missing lower half of the Simple Entry palette was there. Thanks for your help.
