Hello,

I'm wondering if there is a way for one to change the regional staff styles for particular type of tabulature, or do I need to make a whole new staff and use some creative cutaway work to put the tab in there. I'm trying to do 5-string banjo.

Most of the document is in rhythmic notation, but it would be nice to have certain motives in tabulature.

Thanks!

It works if you do it the other way around, turning TAB into slash notation. Does that help?

In "olden times", one would create a Staff Style for this. Not anymore. The way this is done now is with the Change Instrument utility. Highlight the measures needed and with that feature, change those measures to TAB.

Zuill,

Thank you, this is more along the lines of what I am looking for. However, now that selected measures are tab, even though Stems are selected as showing in the Staff tool, they are still not showing on the tab. Do you have any ideas for this? Thanks!

You'll have to create a Staff Style for the stems. Copy the settings from how they are set for a normal TAB staff (when that is chosen throughout the score). I don't know of another workaround. Make sure you make all the settings exactly as they are for a normal TAB staff. Overlooking one detail may give undesirable results.
