I am creating a large document for an opera. There will be over one thousand measures. I was thinking about dividing the piece into four folders and each folder will about 400 measures of music. Unfortunately, if I do this each folder will begin on measure one. How do I offset the measure numbers for each folder? So for example, folder one contains mm 1-399; folder two contains mm 400-700; folder three contains mm 701-1150, etc. Therefore, when the document in folder three is opened the first measure is 701 and not 1. Thanks.

When in the Measure Tool, select Edit Measure Number Regions. There, you can change the starting number to the one you want.
