Percussion part

Hi,

I'm writing for symphonic orchestra and trying to have a timpani part playing from time to time the triangle.
Whant would be the best way to manage this ?
I use Finale 25.5 I first tried to have timpani on layer 1 and percussion part on layer 2, but then, my timpani part became a percussion part !

Have you tried the utility Change Instrument? (Look in the Utilities menu)

Thanks it works, I didn't jnow this.
But now, the triangle is on a single line, how can I set it to 5 lines ?

Auto-answer, it's ok for the 5 lines, I created a special staff style.
How can I set the triangle on between the 4th and the 5th line ?
For the moment Finale set it above the staff with a special note head (I'd like to use the triangle notehead).

To do so, edit the Percussion Layout.

Path:
Score Manager > Instrument List > Notation Style > Percussion

I created this demo using a workaround to get both in the same measure. It is tricky to do that. I added 4 more bars to do it using the Change Instrument utility. I chose Percussion to get the 5 line staff. I changed the staff name to triangle, in the event it started a new system, and you needed the label in the left margin.
