Complex Triples

In a 2/4 bar i want to create the following triplet..... QUARTER QUARTER AND TWO EIGHTH NOTES, is this possible?
I attach a screen shot of an example. Instead of a rest i want two eighth notes , when i try to import it only allows me to type just 1 eighth note.

Simple entry seems to have a problem with this (when I try it, it turns the final eighth into a sixteenth tied to a 32nd over the barline!). Can you use Speedy entry for this? If not, perhaps someone has a work-around for Simple.

In Simple:
Tap 5 to select a quarter note.
Enter the first quarter, by tapping the letter key.
Tap Option-9. (Windows tap Alt-9.)
Set the definition to 3 quarters in 2 quarters. OK.
Enter the next quarter, by tapping the letter key.
Tap 4 to select eighth note.
Enter the eighths, by tapping the letter keys.
In some cases, mixed tuplets will generate an extra rest at the end. Just delete it.

What's key here is: DO NOT delete the quarter rest. Just enter the 8ths and the quarter rest will go away. What triggers the bug is deleting the quarter rest first.
