I'm adding a reduced size grand staff at the bottom of each system in a score I'm writing. It will show the vocal score piano part at the bottom of the full score of a chamber opera (there will also be a normal, separate, full-sized vocal score). I want a dotted left barline at the beginning of each system connecting this grand staff to the normal bottom stave of the full score, but can't seem to find a way to do this.
Does anyone know how it might best be done?
Dotted left barline at beginning of system?

You are talking about a “dotted” left barline.
Would a dashed barline do?
I think that it is easier to do with a dashed barline.

Here is a demo - with a dashed line.

Thanks you very much for this.Peter Thomsen wrote:Here is a demo - with a dashed line.
As ever, there is always a way in Finale, but it's not necessarily an easy one. This is intended to be an hour long piece with many different system layouts, so I'll need to think about whether or not it's worth doing it this way.
