I found a thread here that addressed someone getting a prompt whether to register .clp files with Irfanview or Finale. I got the same prompt. I know that each software is trying to claim registration for the file extension, so that's not my question. I just want to know what a Clip file is in relation to Finale. In that thread was referenced copying from a clip file into Finale. Another said that was an underrated and under-used feature. What is this feature and how would it be used. It doesn't seem to be anywhere in the manual.

Thanks!

Try looking at this link and you'll see an extensive discussion of clip files further down the page:

It allows you to copy and paste multiple different sections at the same time.
