Hi!
I wrote an orchestral piece in Finale 26. Today, when I open the file, in the Scroll View the notation not appear, only on the Page View. When I try to write anything in Scroll View, the programme says there is an error and the program will be closed. What can I do? Why this error?
Thank you,
Vpereira

Is it just this one file? In other words, do other files work correctly?

Thank you, Bill.

Yes, it is only in this file. And when I try to make a new score the problem persists.

As an experiment, save the file as XML (File > Export > Music XML). Open the XML in Finale and see if the problem is gone. If your original file is corrupt, this might be the only way to save it.

You might also want to attach a copy of the file to this forum so others can troubleshoot. Just a few pages might do.

You wrote that you tried to make a new file but the problem persisted. How did you create the new file? From the Wizard, from a template, from scratch?

As N wrote, the best way to troubleshoot the document is if we can see it. If you are not comfortable sharing the music, try this. On a COPY of the piece clear everything and see if the problem persists. If it does, then post that empty document here.

Thank you, Bill.

I saved the file as XML and now is ok. I think the problem is the file is very big. I don't know.
But I always do more than one file to avoid losing everything.

Thank you, again,
