Shape expression

Hi,

Sometimes when I edit a shape expression directly on the score, with double click, and let's say I change the angle, then every instance of the shape updates and the expression is changed if I use it again and sometimes it is not the case. How does it works ? I need to have both systems....

In the cases where you need every instance of the shape updated automatically, when you edit one instance, enter the shape expression via the Expression Selection (and make sure you select the very same expression every time).
In this case there will be only one shape, in only one shape expression, used in multiple instances in the document.

In the cases where you need the option of editing each instance independently, enter the shape expression via a metatool.
Finale will then create a duplicate copy each time you enter the expression.
