Hello
I have a score of a synphonic music
I created two linked parts from one staff in the score (Flute I y II)
For the Flute I I specified voicing choosing notes selected by the layer 1 and the top note
For the Flute II I specified voicing choosing notes selected by the layer 2 and the bottom note
Then I can see the linked parts but I canĀ“t edit the position of the rests or the direction of the stems
I wouldn't like to create another staff with the voicing by separate
Someone know something about this?
Thank u

With this system, the editing of parts is very limited, some tools are not active at all. A serious shortcoming of Finale.
If some editing is needed, the best way would be to exceptionally extract the existing part (with both instruments), it will become fully editable.
Duplicate that file and apply a staff style which hides one of the layers (Blank Notation Layer 1 in one file and Blank Notation Layer 2 in the other one).

My preference is to give each instrument its own staff, making the parts from those, then combine the pair into a separate staff for the conductor's score using JW Polyphony. It does mean you've got two places to correct if you need to fix an error, but if you do it late in the game that should be OK. It's also easier than switching layers all the time when you're inputting music.

I've successfully used voiced linked parts for some time now. With the exception of grace notes, I've never really had issues editing the separate parts, and I don't ever recall coming across problems with stem direction or rest positioning.

Perhaps you could post an example of the problem?

I can confirm that there are problems. And these parts are not editable (enharmonies, stem directions, etc...)
Another problem is that cue notes in Layer 4 disappear.
Hence the suggestion I made in a previous post (extract, duplicate and modify as described).
