Finale 25
Mac

Hi,

I'm editing lyrics in the lyrics window. Finale always moves the place of my cursor in the text to the bottom of the window. I can scroll the text up again, but after a second or so, Finale scrolls it back down. This is extremely annoying. Is there any way to stop Finale doing this?

Thanks for any help.

Rein

Would it help to expand the lyrics window (dragging the bottom right corner) as much as possible, so that all the lyrics fit without scrolling?

That would help if it weren't for the size of the file. This is an Oratorio i'm working on, with a lot of text, so ... no.
Thanks anyway

That's interesting. Maybe it's a Windows thing, but my cursor in the lyrics window frequently gets shot to the top! Sometimes I try to thwart this by clicking on a syllable to select it, but it's still unpredictable. :(. And, no, no way to avoid it. There have been complaints about this since the lyrics window was first introduced.

And promises for years that it would be overhauled.
