Weird instance with Finale Playback

Has anyone ever had an instance of having to press the pause button to get Finale to play instead of using the play button? I've never had it happen, but a friend on Facebook is having that problem. He's running the latest Finale on a Windows 10 machine. He's also uninstalled and reinstalled Finale. And yes, it doesn't matter what file he opens up. I've got nothing other than sending a message to support. Does anyone else have any suggestions I can pass onto him? Thanks!

Haven't seen that.

Most audio programs have play and pause sharing the same button, which toggles to the other when you press it.
