I'm using Finale 25.5.0.259 for Mac. I'm trying to notate bends for horns. In the attached screenshot I'm trying to note a whole step bend up from E into the F# note. What's the best practice for this and the convention for entering it in Finale? Do I use an arrow from the smart shape tool, do I put a ghost note before it? How do I indicate it's a half-step slide/bend into the note as opposed to a quick "flip" from an E to an F#?

Also, I can't hear the horn part on playback - it's not muted as you can see, and no other instruments are soloed. Can anyone help?

This is how I'd do it. In Music Spacing options, under Grace Notes, check "Keep Current", use the Note Position Tool to move the grace note and respace the measure.

That's a bend, isn't it? A scoop is an upward swoosh at the beginning of the note.

I am still a little confused by what this guy asked in the first place. He wants a full step bend up, and so the pitches should be indicated. I think.
