I have attached a page from Britten's Ceremony of Carols. I'm setting up learning tracks for the choir. Among the (many) things that I know nothing about, the harp stands out.

I'm assuming the figure shown means to start on the high eighth note, and slides down to the chord, sort of like sliding your thumbnail down the strings. Is that right? Is there a way I can make Finale basic MIDI do that? It really isn't a big deal; I would just like to learn something new!

It doesn't normally require the harpist's nails!

Anyway, since it looks like a straightforward diatonic glissando, Finale playback with the GIFF harp should just do it if you have glissando selected for playback in ‘Human Playback.’ Use the glissando from the Smart Shape Tool. Option click on the wavy glissando line and choose a straight line instead.

I hope I understood your question correctly!
