Hello all...

I have 2006 and I am working on extracting parts and when I set up my layout to have multiple measure rests, I am getting a dot instead of the bar, could someone please tell me what the font number or graphic number for traditional multiple measure rests is. Thanks!

Todd

I have heard about a bug that looks like your problem. Obviously the default file has a bug and has to be corrected.
So either you update Finale to the latest 2006d version, which has correct default files, or you try the following change in the default files (Maestro Font Default, etc...):
Options->Document options
Multimeasure rests
Shape = 1

That is a bug in 2006. You can download a fix at makemusic.com

As Far As I Know, the error is in the Jazz Font Default file.
For multimeasure rests in the Jazz Font Default file you probably will prefer shape #15 which has a "manuscript" look.
