I have a multi-part small orchestra piece, some woods, brass, strings, etc.
The director asked me to print off all the parts separately to assign to the players.
Easy-peasy, right? Wrong! This triggered a number of issues I am struggling with.
1. Flute part will not print the title page. I know, I had this issue before with a guitar part but I cannot remember what I did to resolve it. The Flute part comes out as two full pages and one system on a third page. I'd like to avoid a page turn.
2. Flute part will not combine multi-measure rests in a single, numbered measure. I 'd like to eliminate the third page and a page turn.
3. The violin, in fact all of the strings, show on the score, show in the Window/ScoreManager instrument list but do not appear in the File/Print instrument box.
4. (See 3) Neither does the Oboe part which I added to the score after it was finished.
5. When I try to print a part using "Microsoft Print to PDF" no instruments show in the File/Print instrument box.
Thanks for any assistance, y'all.

OK. Progress - of a sort.
Re Number 2. In the Flute staff, I selected some contiguous measures, then Edit/Multimeasure Reste/Create for Parts/score.
This eliminated the third page and put in the multimeasure rests everywhere - not just where I selected.

You can rename it.
If you haven't done any formatting of your parts, you can instead click Generate Parts, which will make all new parts and also solve your multimeasure rest problems. But any tweaking you've done to the parts will be lost.

OK. That appears to fix No. 3.motet wrote:You can rename it.

Still no joy on No. 1. the title page. It now prints one-sided, so with a bit of sticky tape we can manage.
