I have read through the posts bearing on this subject but did not find an answer: I am trying to create large time signatures in a score without changing anything in the linked parts. The user manual gives very clear instructions for, I suppose, the current version of Finale, but I am using Finale 2014.5 on a Windows PC and it does not distinguish between score and parts in Global Staff Attributes. Is there a way to remove time signatures from the score without removing them from the parts using Finale 2014.5. Thanks.
You need to go to Document Options. There you can change the Time Signatures sizes and Fonts individually for score and parts

Right. That works for the size in the score different from the size in the parts.
However, since 2014.5 doesn't have the new option for choosing to show the Time Signature or not independent between Score and Parts, one must use the old fashioned approach. To hide the TS in the Score, but keep it showing in the part, create a Staff Style that hides the TS. Then, only apply that to the Score, for the staves in which you want to hide the Large TS. The Part will show the TS, as that Staff Style was only applied to the Score.

Right. Forgot to mention that ...
Mostly, though, probably because I never use the conductors score to create the parts. I always use a duplicate for the parts where I can add and adjust to my liking without changing and/or cluttering the conductors score. It requires, of course, to apply any real changes or corrections to both versions, but, for me, well worth the trouble.

This the page posted with the release of 2014. I see that it was updated last June but I didn’t look closely to see what was changed.

2014 doesn't have the option to have a Time Signature Not appear in the Score while still appearing in the Part. That's why, in olden times, we had to use the Staff Style technique to get the proper result.
